Rodenticide controls are changing in Australia.
In March 2026, the APVMA introduced tighter interim controls and additional use instructions for some second-generation anticoagulant rodenticides. These changes reflect the need to reduce risks to people, pets and non-target wildlife while Australia's broader rodenticide review continues.
FAB assesses the activity, property conditions and surrounding risks before recommending an appropriate approach. Depending on the site, this may include monitoring, trapping, compliant baiting, entry-point recommendations and follow-up rather than relying on one product alone.
Any rodenticide used by FAB will be selected and applied in accordance with the current product label and applicable APVMA directions.
